This is how they looked after sand blasting. Actually, I got them back from sand blasting about two weeks ago and unfortunately forgot them in trunk of car with almost disastrous results... You know, sand blasting removes ALL of the old paint, grease, dirt, everything, leaving the surface absolutely clean. Aaand, absolutely clean steels has about zero resistant against rusting. So, the brown dots you see on them is rust. But it's on the very surface only and can be easily removed with steel brush before painting, so I didn't spoil them yet, but another two weeks and I might had to take them back for sand blasting... This is how they looked when I went to my garage, how they looked when I got off of there..? More about than in next post:)
As most of you might know already, I have another project going on beside Signet, my daily driver. I wrote some time ago that her engine is making some odd noise and I decided to build a new engine to it. That project is doing well and it's almost done. I'm not gonna post any pics of it before it's completed, but there is something that I'd like to expose. That something is related to my daily driver, but it nothing related to engine nor that sort of technology in general. It is about 1,6 Meters wide, about 12 Meters long and has a touch of Africa in it. What's this for...?
