Rebuilding this engine was a very straight forward project. I didn't face any bigger problems or setbacks and I have a hunch that it is a good engine that will give me plenty of trouble free kilometers. The only thing I'm not 100% satisfied of is the exhaust manifold. It was slightly twisted but will probably get the job done without any leaking.
Now while writing about the engine and as it happens to be a slant six, I wanted to send special thanks to a man who (probably) is unknown to most of my readers, but the Guru to all the slant six enthusiast around the world- Mr. Doug Dutra. Everything I know about slant sixes I have learned either the hard way of trial and error, or reading the slantsix.org. And even though Signet's slant six is not a high performance engine by any means, I did some mods to its oiling system and cylinder head. And all the mods that I did, I did just as I've learned from the slantsix.org.
So, along with this post and the cylinder head rebuild slideshow below, I want to say Thank you Doug and thank you everyone on slantsix.org, and all the fellow slant six enthusiast around the world!
